Journal Opportunity – Food As Ally

Which breakfast choices give you natural energy to start the day?

As you answer, check in with each body.

What does your mental body need to get going in the morning?

What does your physical body need?

How about the emotional?

The spiritual?

Observation is a big part of making food your ally. Gentle reminder: observation is not judgment. Focus on awareness. Let the insights come. Here’s an example of the difference: if you’re thinking, “I should get a juicer,” that’s most likely judgment. If you’re focusing on allowing your bodies to speak to you, a juicer could gently pop into your mind, or one of your bodies could call out for fresh juice.

It takes practice, but with practice, you will gain perspective that reshapes your world.

Peace and love,

Gina

Easy Lunch, Dinner, or Snack – Food As Ally Meal Idea

You’ve been asking for easy meal ideas that will keep you out of a hot summer kitchen. This is one of my favorites.

Fast Nachos photo by Gina Briganti

Nachos are endlessly versatile and a great way to eat cool sour cream, fresh diced tomatoes, zesty green onions, smooth velvety guacamole, ready-made cheeze (non-dary or dairy) sauce, your choice of tortilla chips, and protein.

Added bonus, it travels well.

Bring these to work or a picnic by separating ingredients in containers. Purchased guacamole singles (pictured – Trader Joe’s Avocado’s Numbers Guacamole to Go) are perfect for one meal and will stay green. The protein of choice, next to the plant-based cheeze sauce, is grilled turkey cutlets. Coconut water is a favorite hydrating drink for hot days. Salsa Verde Corn Tortilla chips from Trader Joe’s give salsa flavor.

For a snack, make a smaller nacho plate. At lunch, add more food to fill you until snack or dinner. If it’s dinner time, load up the table so everyone can add what they for Nacho Bar.

What do you think? Is this easy, fast, and customizable for your life?

There’s plenty of emphasis on the weekly Reiki Food As Ally Group Support Zoom meetings and the Food As Ally in-person weekly group support meetings in Dallas, which raises the question of whether I still offer Reiki sessions and classes. I offer them as well as workshops on techniques in the Reiki III (ART) Manual.

Thank you to those who asked the questions. I’m glad you know I’m still here for you regarding Reiki, pet Reiki, and Reiki Food As Ally.
