For general health maintenance, or smooth sailing, we recommend having a Reiki session once a month if there are no apparent challenges. You feel good most of the time, with only minor or few challenges between sessions.
If there is a challenge, such as grief, an eating disorder, adjusting to big changes in your life, a highly stressful event in your life, or cancer, then once a week would be beneficial.
The numbers change if you are attuned to Reiki. In that case, it’s great to have a session to illuminate what you may be missing in your self-treatments, about once every three months.
Reiki students, practitioners and teachers who are facing a challenge will benefit from monthly, or even bi-weekly sessions, depending on how much the challenge is effecting you.
The reason we were guided to write this post is that we often see Reiki clients, students, practitioners and teachers going without Reiki sessions for years after they complete their classes. Our experience has shown us that our lives are better when we have Reiki regularly, as are the lives of our clients who receive Reiki regularly.
Our intention, always, is to be of service.
