29 Days of Reiki – The Finale

29 Days of Reiki

We’ve heard some wonderful feedback about how 29 Days of Reiki helped people add more Reiki practice into their lives! We are thrilled about that, because that was our intention. In particular, Gina was told that adding Reiki in regularly opened up more time for chakra balancing and meditation, which helped with recovering from an illness and with emotional turbulence. Another practitioner hadn’t thought of adding Reiki into food, drinks, supplements and medications. Yet another found it helped her find an easy way to add more Reiki into her day. Isn’t that awesome!

Gina had a funny moment in the grocery store during 29 Days. There were eggs on sale, and she is used to picking up a carton to feel the energy of the eggs, as well as to wiggle the eggs. This time when she reached for the carton, she felt her Reiki reach out and put a wonderful shot of Reiki into all of the eggs in the case! Now, she doesn’t want to force Reiki on anyone without their consent, so she added an intention that it could be accepted or rejected.

Thank you for joining us for 29 Days of Reiki! We hope you had as much fun with it as we did.

Have you thought of something you’d like to do as a group? If you have, tell us about it. We’d love to hear your great ideas!

As always, we cherish the time that you spend with us!

29 Days of Reiki – Week Two!

29 Days of Reiki

How’s it going? Is infusing Reiki into your food, drinks, supplements, and medication becoming a habit now?

Gina says that it has helped her more than ever. It was daily before, but now it’s more frequent during the day when it’s busy and easy to skip over. Challenges are resolving easier, too.

Peace, love and Reiki,

Gina and Cyhndi

Join us For 29 Days of Reiki

29 Days of Reiki

Cyhndi and I would love it if you would join us by infusing Reiki into your groceries, meals, drinks, supplements and medications every day through the end of March.

Here’s how we suggest you do this:

When you bring your groceries home from the store, infuse them with Reiki by placing your hands over them, staying long enough for them to feel great to you.

Fill up your water, and then infuse it with Reiki, staying long enough for the water to feel revitalizing.

As you sit down for each meal, send Reiki into the meal, staying long enough for it to feel good to you. Gina’s blessing for her food is, “I am grateful to each and every energy who brought this food before me, and for the way it nourishes me in all possible ways.”

Before you take your supplements and/or medication, send Reiki into them, staying long enough for them to feel good.

We think that you will feel exceptionally good by the end of the 29 days! Such a simple, quick step to take, and it makes a wonderful difference.

Feel free to share your experiences in the comments!

Wishing you a life filled with Reiki,

Gina and Cyhndi

What Is Reiki?

There could be as many descriptions of what Reiki is, how it works, and even if it works, as there are people to talk about it. What I’m sharing here is my perception and experience with Reiki as a student, practitioner, and teacher. My Reiki experience began in 2005. In 2007 I became a master teacher. I have taught all four of the levels.

Reiki is a relaxing, stress relieving, technique. During a session a client can choose to have conversation, or silence, or something in between. My clients and I typically laugh because it feels so ridiculously good to let go of so many things that were weighing us down.

Reiki can be done anywhere. In health spas, for example, the client usually lies down on a massage table. However, Reiki is not a massage technique. It is a form of energy work, meaning that it works on the energy that makes up the mind, the body, and the spirit. That’s why Reiki is as effective on the phone, or at a distance without direct contact, as it is in person. Some clients feel better if you place a hand on them while they’re receiving Reiki in person. Others don’t like to be or need to be touched at all. It sounds mystical, doesn’t it?  Two of Gina’s long-term clients shared their experiences with distance Reiki.  Feel free to click on the link if you’d like to read what they said.

You can read about studies verifying the efficacy of Reiki here: http://www.centerforreikiresearch.org/
If you’d like to read a history of Reiki, follow this link: http://www.reiki.org/faq/HistoryOfReikiToCopy.html

What is Reiki good for? Literally anything. If you consider that stress is the cause of most problems, then the relief of the stress will leave you feeling better. I have to say that if I hadn’t experienced it for myself, I’d be a skeptic.

What happens during a Reiki session is this: your practitioner will help you into a comfortable position. Sessions typically last for one hour, though they can be shorter or longer. You may be touched on your head, hands, stomach, legs, knees, and feet. Or, as I mention above, not at all. Your practitioner may stay in one place and simply place their hands over you. What the client feels is anything from relaxation to a deep sleep.

Here’s a sample of a Reiki treatment by William Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training.

So, in summary, Reiki is a relaxation technique. Ideally the client goes into the session feeling heavy, upset, confused, etc. and comes out of it feeling refreshed, healthy, and energized.

We have openings for Reiki sessions and classes. See our Menu of Services post for more information about scheduling and costs.

Thank you for the time you shared with us today!

The Reiki Coil

By Gina Briganti

When I began teaching Reiki I never dreamed that I would receive, or invent, a technique.  There was already a plethora of fantastic Reiki happening, so why add more?  Then, slowly, I learned more by practicing Reiki.  I taught a Reiki Master Teacher class in November, sharing so many unrecorded ideas that it took most of the class, and then, bam, it was clear to me that it was time for me to teach what I’ve been practicing.

I present for you, the Reiki Coil technique, which I invented to help to continue a flow of Reiki that was started during a Reiki session.  Though a client may be feeling great relief at the end of their session, there is often a sense that there are more releases to come.  That’s where the Reiki Coil comes in.

If you sense that more releases are coming after you’ve spent the bulk of the session on clearing, visualize a thick coil that starts at the top of your client’s energy field, and continues down past the opposite end of their energy field.  The color of the energy inside of the coil is up to you.  I usually see a bright blue color there.  Make the intention that the coil will continue to aid the client in releasing for a specific length of time.  I use my intuition to determine how long it is.  In my experience it is anywhere from three days to several months.

Since the coil is there to continue to help with releases, I also visualize a drain below the bottom of the coil for the releases to drain to.  You can include an intention to replace the released energy with Reiki.  It probably happens on its own, so don’t worry if you forget.

I always tell my client about the coil, the drain, and the length of time it will be active so that they know what kind of support they’re receiving, and to help them to be aware that Reiki is still active with them in case they have a large release.  I imagine it would be disorienting, or maybe even scary, to have a big release and wonder where it came from.

So, what do you think of the Reiki Coil?  Many of you have had one from our sessions together.  Do you have anything to share about your experiences with it?

The Reiki Coil technique will be offered as part of an upcoming Advanced Reiki Technique Workshop.  Contact me if you are interested in attending here at The Reiki Cafe in Joshua Tree, virtually from the comfort of your home via Google Hangouts, or forming a class so I can come to you!

As always, thank you for the time we spend together,

Gina & Cyhndi
